HutchNews.com: 1955 Ford Fairlane Sold To Pay Taxes

From back at the end of August comes this sad story – we wonder if this forlorn 1955 Fairlane Town Sedan was ever rescued.

Dorce Stapleton loves everything about her 1955 Ford Fairlane.

She loves that it was the first automatic Ford made. She loves the way the engine sounds when she turns the key. She also loves that the 60-year-old vehicle has only been driven 72,000 miles.

Both Bish and Smith attended the auction. Hundreds sang to Smith to celebrate his 93rd birthday.

HotRod.com: Mike Faltesek’s 1965 Ford Mustang

HotRod.com has a great story up right now on Mike Faltesek’s 1965 Ford Mustang that he purchased for $90 in high school, fixed with his father, and now has undergone a new restoration into street-drag configuration.

Mike didn’t do anything to the car that couldn’t be undone, and he plans to put it back into fulltime street duty within the next five years or so. But for now, he’s enjoying the car’s mild-mannered combination, which is competitive in the local 7.0-second eighth-mile index class.
